About Us

North Parramatta Sinhala School (NPSS) was founded in 1990 with just 38 students. Today, we are proud to be one of the leading community language schools in New South Wales.
For over 35 years, NPSS has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Sri Lankan culture, language, and heritage among families living in Sydney. Our school has welcomed more than 3,000 students since its founding — and many of our former students are now returning as parents, bringing their own children to continue this rich tradition.
At NPSS, we believe in the power of community, cultural identity, and lifelong learning — and we’re proud to be a part of so many Sri Lankan-Australian families’ journeys.

npss about

NPSS was established under the Sinhalese Cultural Forum of NSW with a vision to preserve and promote the Sinhala language, culture, and heritage among the younger generations of Sri Lankan Australians. Beyond teaching language, our programs enrich students with music, dance, and cultural experiences that strengthen community identity.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate decades of service, our commitment remains strong: to nurture future generations with a love for the Sinhala language and culture, while empowering them to thrive as proud members of the wider Australian community.
